There are 14 pupils on the School Council, one from each class. These pupils are elected by their peers. The children meet at least once a term to discuss how we can make our outstanding school even better. The School Council allows all children in the school to have a voice and opportunity to share the views of the children. Each member of the School Council has a Suggestion Box in their classroom which they bring along to each meeting. All suggestions are read and discussed.
Mrs Dwyer is the teacher responsible.
The School Council has worked on a number of projects including campaigning to allow girls the choice to wear trousers, requesting a trim trail on each playground, improving lunch choices and representing the school when we have special visitors.
Our current project is to purchase two storage sheds for each playground and choose appropriate equipment for all children to use at lunchtimes.
