Extra Christmas Present Appeal - December 2019

This December a box was placed in our entrance foyer to collect Christmas presents for an initiative called the ‘Extra Christmas Present Appeal’.

These presents were then collected and went to support two charities:

The first being the Women’s Refuge, which is part of the Salvation Army Housing Association. This part of the charity deals with women with children who go to a refuge to escape abuse at home.  The presents went to the children caught up in these situations. 

Secondly, the other half went to Surrey Domestic Abuse Outreach. This charity looks after families who are still in their own home but who have been touched by domestic abuse. 

In both situations the children may not have had any presents at Christmas if it wasn’t for this.
