Role of the NLE/SLE

Our NLE and SLE's are outstanding middle and senior leaders who provide exceptional support to schools in need within their specialist areas. They are committed to outreach work, successfully working both in St Polycarp’s and across our group of schools.

They:
     - have proven expertise in their field
     - know/understand what outstanding teaching and leadership looks like
     - have been successful in leading mentoring, coaching and developing to achieve excellent results
     - have outstanding interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
     - are able to use data analytically to identify needs

The role of the SLE is flexible. They may:
     - work with colleagues to draw up action plans
     - model best practice
     - coach and mentor
     - improve team working
     - mentor and evaluate learning
     - lead CPD.
